My Schedule is Shot
Summer has hit like a truck, and so has my depression.
Summer has hit like a truck, and so has my depression. Most of the shit that's got me down is stuff that is far out of my control so that's just icing on the shit cake at this point. There has indeed been a day when I couldn't haul myself out of bed longer than the time it took to go pee.
Depression increases gravity, and on that day, I was on Erid with Grace. Not in a good way. Probably more like on Erid with Adrian, waiting for Rocky to return from the expedition. I was feeling twenty times my normal weight, okay? Squashed fucking flat.
I am fighting it and winning, but there's times when it feels like Sisyphus halfway up the hill, you know?
And now there's the heat of summer in SPRING.
Melting at my keyboard is not a fun activity, so I've taken to napping during the hottest parts of the day and working during the cool of it. Which means that I am mostly nocturnal now.
Not helpful when the person helping me with the Promptcast thing is only available during my mornings when the heat is climbing. Dedication to the arts, folks. It's not just AO3 writers having extreme events, it's also Indie folks like me, melting to achieve the advertising budget. In this case, making sure people on Twitch know my pen name.
So if you're worried about me, rest easy in the knowledge that I am honestly trying not to melt as the true Summer approaches. My offerings will be coming out, just... irregularly.
I have a laptop. I can plausibly write today's daily fiction in the air conditioning. Advertising it has to wait for the cool of the evening, or the following early morning.
Do stay tuned. I may be slow but I am still getting there. Maybe in a puddle of my own ooze, but I will be getting there.
