Make Me Brave
I have means to make query letters now, but...
I really should be pitching. I have means to make query letters now, but... I also have a huge amount of inertia on writing them. Basically, I'm a coward and rejection hits me hard. I need to become brave and make them happen for all the books I'm throwing at agents in hope.
I have five books in my archive, effectively growing mould. I need to try shipping them with agents and hoping for the best.
One of them has to work for someone. And heaven help the first one to ask what else I have up my sleeve. They're in for an inhale of doom.
But before I go there, I need to make the dingdang query letters so I look like a professional. I think I'll try doing that on Saturdays, which I am keeping clear in case I can actually return to parkrun. As it stands, with my ankle being a bitch, Saturdays are excellent for me to be brave enough to get a query letter done.
I have five books to pitch. Two ways to do the query letter and seeing which one sparks joy. So that's potentially ten weeks working on it. If I can't shake off the terrors of doing it in the first place.
Wish me the best of luck.
