A New Pitching PLN

I have five books to pitch, and as soon as I get things together, I am going to pitch all of them at once. This is my new PLN to get capital-N noticed in the literary scene. Five different agents. Five different books. Pretty sure a lot of them talk to each other, so I'll be able to gain some kind of attention from them if I do it often enough.

Of course, the PLN is going to fall over at some point because some agents take longer than others to reject things. But that's okay. I'll have the next potential agent lined up to pitch at and a whole pitch kit to use. I even have some query letter templates to use so I can write that in advance, too.

I just need to have the time and the energy together in one place to do that.

Which is... a struggle.

I get free time, I feel the urge to fill it productively and then I overcommit and wind up burning out. So I cancel some projects so I have free time...

It's a cycle, and I need someone to swat me with a rolled-up newspaper from time to time.

I'm an overtired bean, this week. Stressed because life's getting expensive despite my best efforts to keep it cheaper than expected. And maybe a little bit touch-starved. At least touch-hungry.

I keep joking that I'm firing on none cylinders, and it's not that hilarious in perspective. I want to achieve something, darnit! I want to get out there.

But mostly? I want a nap.
